About Canstruction
Canstruction® combines the competitive spirit of a design/build competition
with a unique way to help feed the hungry in our community. Competing area
high school teams, sponsored and mentored by local architectural, engineering
and design firms, showcase their talents by designing and constructing giant
sculptures made with donated canned goods. At the close of the competition,
all of the cans used in the structures are donated to Community
Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana for distribution throughout their
network of food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and care centers.
The 2008 event will take place April
19-27 at Glenbrook
